It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Stanley Emmert of Flint, Michigan, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Stanley and Elsie Emmert, Sr. (O'Neal); his former wife Rosemary Emmert (MacDonald); and his children, Marie Emmert and Karl Emmert.
He is survived by: his wife June Fleckenstein; his children, John Emmert and Vickie Halfyard (Steve); his granddaughter Darcy Dowd (Mick); and his great grandchildren, Erin and Lauren Dowd.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (600 N Adelaide St, Fenton, MI 48430).
Memorial contributions would be appreciated to St. John Catholic Church towards future paintings and murals to adorn the church.
