She was predeceased by : her parents, Oscar Vermeersch and Geraldine Vermeersch; her husband Micheal Cooley; and her sisters, Barbara and JoAnn.

She is survived by : her son Gregory; her son-in-law James; her daughter Geriann; her siblings, Karen Leonard and Dennis Vermeersch; and also Moustafa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
