She is survived by: her son Donald Thompson (Kim) of Flint; her grandchildren, Mary Jean Henley (Alfred) of Mount Pleasant, Janet Haggard, Carrie Edwards-Clemons of Flint, Deyhana, Cindy, Donald Jr., Fred, Sharasa, Alfred Jr., Anjanette, Joseph, Mary Elizabeth, Julius Jr., Andre, Tera Lynn, Lawrence, Daniel and Kidonte; Kevin Thompson, Amelda Thompson, Angie Thornton-George, Dorothy (Williams) of Jackson, MS. and Joe Palmer of Jackson, MS.. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
