She was predeceased by: her parents, Yancey Sr. Brinkley and Lois Brinkley; her granddaughters, Latiece R. Glenn and Abigail Livingston; and her siblings, Yancey Brinkley Jr., Thomas Brinkley, Betty Oliver and Trellis Brinkley.
She is survived by: her children, G. Keith Brinkley of Flint, MI, Bryant Shufford (Wanda) of Buford, GA, Cheryl Shufford and Y. Jan Shufford; and her grandchildren, Alisha Livingston II (Frederick), Antwan Reed Sr., Tyeisha Torrez Sr. (Eliot), Martez Toins (Jasmine) and Janine Cheatham Sr. (Deveion). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Chapel (2340 W Carpenter Rd, Flint, MI 48505). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Cathedral of Faith Ministries C. (6031 Dupont St, Flint, MI 48505).
