She is survived by : her children, Jackie, Barbara, Timothy Henderson of Tulsa, Charles Dixon (Monique) of Flint, MI, Gordon Mitchner of Port Huron, MI, Dion Mitchner (Peggy) of Lawrenceville, GA, Jimmie Mitchner of Flint, MI, Rashad Mitchner (Shaneal) of Flint, MI, Jabar Mitchner of Flint, MI, Sheila Green of Flint, MI and Regina Mitchner of Plano, TX.; her close friends, Mary Red Allison, Lillian Bowie, Marvaline Speights, Eileen Swartz, Earnestine Moore, Yvonne Harris, Hope Vesley and Katie Jones; and her goddaughter Carolyn Butler. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Chapel (1009 E Stewart Ave, Flint, MI 48505). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (2109 Martin Luther King Ave, Flint, MI 48503). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
