She is survived by: her daughter Annie Turpin of Flint, MI; her siblings, Artensia Brown of Long Beach, MS, Fannie Clay of Gulfport, MS, Clarence Brown of Flint, MI and James Brown Jr. of Long Beach, MS; her sisters-in-law, Syleander McLaurin of Gulfport, MS and Patricia Legget of Harrisburg, MS; and her close friend Laura Austin of Flint, MI.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She strongly believed in receiving her flowers while she was alive so in lieu of flowers the family is asking that flowers or plants be donated to Nursing Homes or AFC homes so they may be enjoyed by patients who might not have anyone to give them flowers.
