We are sad to announce that, on March 5, 2025, at the age of 96, Opal Inez (Johnson) Furtick of Flint, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Johnson and Eunice Johnson (Brown); her husband Ben Furtick; her sisters, Allie Mae Ryan, Euple Greenhaw, Ollie Loveless and Jennie Ashley; and her friends, Dick Oden, Betty Pounders, Ruby Green, Dawn Laramore, Bob, Bobbie Dunn and Larry Melton.
She is survived by: her children, Larry (Deni) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Dianne (Elden McClure) of Flint Township, Michigan; her grandchildren, Amber (Ryan Duberg) of Rockvale, Tennessee, Brittney (Michael Pratt) of Hernando, Mississippi and Chad Furtick (Carolyn Smith); her great grandchildren, Ella, Emery Duberg, Greyson Furtick, Olivia and Graham Pratt; her siblings, Evelyn Stell, Olene Olive of Nashville, Ozie Houston of Booneville, Mississippi and Sidney Johnson of Blue Springs, Missouri; her extended family, Matthew, Christe McClure Exline of Lum, Ryan Ashley, Emerson and Paige of Clarkston, Michigan; and her close friends, Ann Lowe, Soula Kondyles, Brenda Donnell, Marta and Mel Ebbs. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
