He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Dawkins, Sr. and Gladys Woodson Dawkins; his wife Lynne Dixon Dawkins; his siblings, Bettie Jean Dawkins, Thomas Dawkins, Jr., Lawrence Dawkins, Rudy Dawkins and Percy; his nephew Ernest Morris; and his aunts, Irene Sims and Mamie Hagan.

He is survived by : his son Quinn A. Dawkins, Jr. (Savannah Dawkins); his grandchildren, Devonte Windom, Tre'von Windom of Flint, MI, Antwan Souder of Flint, MI, Antoni Souder of Flint, MI, Ayanna Souder of Flint, MI and Jayce Dawkins of Flint, MI; his sister Toni Dawkins (Crouch) of Flint, MI; his nieces, Toryn Dawkins of Lilburn, GA, Natiera Dawkins of Flint, MI, Trina Patterson of Minneapolis, MN and Carmon Dawkins; his nephew Kenyetta Dawkins; his great-nieces, Lauren and Courtney; and his siblings-in-law, Delois Dawkins of Flint, MI and John Crouch of Flint, MI. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
