He was predeceased by: his parents, George Spears and Thelma Spears (Putnam). He is survived by: his grandsons, Cameron and Avery; his wife Gloria Jean Black; his children, Laura Jean (Spears) and Jeffery Wood Spears (Gina); his siblings, Sharon Collins and Jerry Spears (Joyce); and his pet Stella.
