He was predeceased by: his father Robert E. Bernard; and his brother Richard Bernard. He is survived by: his mother Harriette Bernard (Wohlers); his wife Judy Bernard; his son Robert M. Bernard (Beth); his siblings, Glenn (Rozann), John Bernard, Jeanice Hall, Gina Brockriede (Mitch) and Julie Herrick (Mark); and his siblings-in-law, Karen West (John), Kay Bueby (Dave) and Jim Humphrey (Linda). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
