He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Pruett and Birdie Pruett (Anderson); and his siblings, Dennis Pruett, Michael Pruett and Patty Pruett.

He is survived by: his children, Roger Dale Pruett, Jr. (Kayla), Karlie Jaensch (Jeff) and James Pruett; his siblings, Janis Kazee (Steve) and Johnny Pruett; his former wife Vickie Pruett; and his nieces, Nikole (Tom) and Dakota Pruett.
