We announce the death of Shirley Dove of Flint, Michigan, who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 90. Shirley will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Holman and Doris Holman. She is survived by: her husband Eldon Dove; her children, David Gilkes (Michelle), Kevin Gilkes (Ann), Mark Gilkes (Lisa), Deborah Holloway (Bradley), Karen Lewis (Jon) and Diane Hamilton (Douglas); her grandchildren, Alyse Gilkes, Emily Gilkes, Michael Gilkes, Adam Gilkes (Stephanie), Eric Gilkes (Annika), Cody Gilkes (Mandy), Logan Gilkes (Ciera), Benjamin Holloway (Sarah), Bryan Holloway (Valerie), Craig Hamilton (Trisha) and Neil Hamilton; and her friend Joni Morris. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Swartz Funeral Home (1225 W Hill Rd, Flint, MI 48507).
