He is survived by: his sons, Darwin Schmitzer (Samantha) and Steven Michael Schmitzer Jr.; his grandchildren, Malik Schmitzer, Zane Schmitzer and Joslyn Schmitzer; his sisters, Sandy Droze (Jim), Christy Schmitzer and Judy Schmitzer; his goddaughter Jenny Woycehoski (Chad); and his brother-in-law Darren Reid. He is also survived by other loving family members and good friends.
