It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Taquitta Kameshia Barber of Flint, Michigan, who passed away on April 29, 2021, at the age of 31, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her father Lewis Barber; her children, Harmoni Rogers, Harmon Rogers and Michael Sweeney, Jr.; her mother Venita Williams (Khary); her siblings, Sammie Milton Jr., Samonte Banks, Shumer Banks, Khary Williams, Jr., Takai Jones (Albert), Tanechia Barber, Tandenisha Banks, Teraya Milton and Nariyah Knox; her grandparents, L. T. Barber, Jr. (Betty), Marcia Smiley Banks (Issacc Bell) and Linda Barber (Edward Ware); her great-grandparent Lillian Perry; her nieces and nephews, Ronald Hart II, Jordyn Jones, Nazeer Boone, Anthony Carter, Sammie Milton II, Asire Carter, Jayceion Jones, Zy'hir Boone, Edward Ware, Azireeanna Banks, Anai Jones, Alyssia Jones and Liberty Banks; her uncles, Rodney Smiley (Kim), Reginald Smiley, Sr. (Briona), Larry Banks II (Tierra), Lavelle Banks, Michael Willingham and Kevin Willingham; her aunt Donna Banks; her great-aunts, Velma of Washington, Terry Smiley and Tanya Smiley; her cousins, Sequoyia and Tatiyana; her godmother Sharona Grigsby; and her close friends, Brionna Marshall, Shay, Tiearia Bell and Shamirra Robinson.
