She was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Luther Cantrell and Eva (Horn) Cantrell; husband: Emery J. VanDyke; children: Donald VanDyke (Betty), Jimmy VanDyke (Sabrina), Connie VanDyke, Norma Kitter (Dale), and Dallis VanDyke; daughter-in-law: Marcie VanDyke; sisters: Geraldine Dye, Pauline Davidson, and Juanita Hale; brothers: Carl Cantrell, Therman Cantrell, and Walter Cantrell; caregiver: Taylor; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641).
