We are sad to announce that, on June 2, 2022, at the age of 88, Willie E. Artis (Flint, Michigan), born in Memphis, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet and James; and his siblings, Louvenia, Howard and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Veronica; his children, William Gerard (Clara Renee Artis), Rhonda (Erskine Roberts) and Rosalind Jimason; his granddaughters, Brittany, Faith, Charity and Mayah; his sister Jessie Wooten; his nephew Johnny Russell (Joyce); his close friends, Larry, Jane Worthing and Terence Broussard; Violet and James.
Willie has requested that his memory be honored with donations to his two favorite charities: The Veronica and Willie Artis Scholarship Endowment at Flint's Mott Community College or the Flint Public Library.
