She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Bruckner and Marie Bruckner (Moody); her husband Robert Kalakay; and her siblings, Wilfred Bruckner, Walter Bruckner and Patricia Mooney.

She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Gallagher (Mark), Julie Schanick (John), Mark Kalakay (Brenda), Teresa Block (Tyler Russman), Kenneth Kalakay (Joanne), Christine Young (Paul), Matthew Kalakay (Brandy), Paul Kalakay (Lisa Hamilton), Anthony Kalakay (Barbara) and Timothy Kalakay (Tammie); and her sisters, Mary Ann Sheppard and Dorothy Elkowitz. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.

Those desiring may make contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
