She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Choate and Della Choate (McCullough); the father of her children James Prevett; her former husbands, James Prevett and Curtis Bartlett; her children, Jimmie Prevett, Mary Black and Burnie Prevett; her grandchildren, Michael Black, Teresa Gower and Mary Kay Reid; her great grandchild Amy Lagalo-Montijo; and her brother James "Commie" Choate.
She is survived by: her son Terry Prevett (Barb) of Flushing; her daughter-in-law Joyce Prevett of Flushing; her grandchildren, Kevin Prevett (Lisa) of West Virginia, Kim Hodge (Pat) of Burton, Sheryl Brandow (Scott) of Flushing and Dena Prevett of Flushing; her son-in-law Bob Black; and her close friends, Hazel, Stephanie and Vivian. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren.
