He was predeceased by : his parents, Donalee Phyllis Idalski (Hines) and Gerald Idalski; his brother Timothy Idalski; his parents-in-law, Katherine Cartwright and James Coote; and his siblings-in-law, Gary and Candy Coote.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia E. Coote; his children, Matt Idalski and Becky Bair (Eric); his grandchildren, Trevor, Saige, Isaac, Matthew, Gavin and Everly; his siblings, Phil Idalski (Toni) and Mary Pereault; and his siblings-in-law, Debbi Williams (Tom) and Tony Coote (Vicki). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
