David Loren Rye Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Loren Rye of Flushing, Michigan, who passed away on April 29, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwyn Rye and Grace Philp (Blythe); his wife Camilla Schmidlin of Mary's Catholic Church; his son Bryan Rye; his aunt Margie; and his uncle Dick.
He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Woods (Ted); his grandchildren, Christopher Thompson (Mindy), Michael Thompson (Jennah), Parker Woods (Marisa), Allison VanHorn (Adam) and Alexander Rye (Hannah); his great grandchildren, Khloe, Kase, Ivy, Henry and Johnathan; and his niece Sue Marshall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the New Calvary Catholic Cemetery (4142 Flushing Rd, Flint, MI 48504).
