She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward John "Jack" and Mildred Irene Maxwell (Peters); her husband John T. Murphy; her brother Arthur Maxwell; and her brother-in-law Jack Kildee.
She is survived by: her children, Jari Sutton (John) of Charlevoix, Jill Poe of Flushing and Jeffrey Barney (Cameron) of Graham, NC; her stepchildren, Joann Cooper (Patrick), Susan Jackson, John'Tommy'Murphy Jr. (Kathy Arnold) and Steven Murphy (Jamie); her grandchildren, Alison Trowbridge, Maxwell Sutton (Marin), Jacob Poe (Amanda), Justine Mehalic (Justin), Ella Barney and Jack Barney; her stepgrandchildren, Kristin Leininger (Ryan), Jennifer Bohne (Mike), Lauren Burgett (Bill), Kaitlin Trentacost (Nick), Michael Jackson (Leah), Matthew Jackson (Aimee), Megan Murphy (Craig Delaney), John'Trey'Murphy III Steven Murphy Jr. (Becky) and Christopher Murphy; her siblings, Margaret Kildee and Edward Maxwell (Jill); and her sister-in-law Glenna Maxwell.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM at the Bendle Cemetery (9385 Beecher Rd, Flushing, MI 48433).
