It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Maria (Gonzalez) Bolen of Flushing, Michigan, born in Floresville, Texas, who passed away at the age of 87, on April 5, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jesus Ascencio and Marianna Ascencio; her brothers, Angel Ascencio, Jose Ascencio, Jesse Ascencio and Eulogio Rodriguez; her daughter MariaEstela Perry; and her grandson Aciano Carrasco (Chano).

She is survived by : her husband Jim Bolen of Flushing; her siblings, Juan Ascencio and Frances Ascencio; and her children, RoseMary Murray (Randy) of Flushing, Ramon Gonzalez, Jr. (Nanette) of Burton, Anna Gibson of Flint, Gloria Worsham (Louie Harrod) of Grand Blanc and Lisa Gonzalez-Gronauer of Davison. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A rosary was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center (6063 Fenton Rd, Flint, MI 48507). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (2316 Coldwater Rd, Flint, MI 48505).

In lieu of flowers, financial contributions can be made to the MariaEstela Perry Scholarship Fund at Mott Community College.
