Smarda; his stepchildren, Robin Teubert, Brian Finkle (Diane), Daniel Perakes (Sharon), Aimee Perakes and Elizabeth Perakes-Cairns (Matt); his brothers, Woody Bredin (Jean) and Todd Bredin (Susan); his nephews, Brian and Darryl; and his niece Julie. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
