He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Caughill and Eva Caughill; his parents-in-law, Richard and Loretta Anderson; and his close friend Bob Forbes.

He is survived by: his wife Denise Anderson; his children, Derek Caughill, Dana Crottie (Patrick), Dustin Caughill (Crystal Fuller) and Daycee Caughill (Richard Chantelau); his grandchildren, Sierra, Rylee Crottie and Dillon Caughill; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Anderson (Sandy) and Diane Anderson. He is also survived by niece and nephew.
