With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence E Loxton of Fort Gratiot, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorne Loxton and Elsie Loxton; his wife Arlene J. Hartel; his daughter Janice; his grandson Jason; and his son-in-law Brian Brittain.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Brittain, Becky Meddaugh, Jackie Goebel (Ed) and Sharon Schemansky (Butch); and his grandchildren, Jeff Cutcher (Tina), Ben Brittain, Jeri-Lynn Helewski, Kathy Jo Johnston (Shawn), Michael Schemansky and Scotty Schemansky (Kristie). He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
