She is survived by: her children, Joanne Sischo, Kathy Gwisdala, Joseph Gwisdala Jr. (Karen) and Todd Gwisdala; her grandchildren, Peaceful-Spirit Gantenbein (Tom), Samuel Sischo and Melissa King (Matt); her great grandchildren, Kate, Alexa Gantenbein, Kaitlyn Reeves, Dylan and Austin Dzubinski; her great great grandchildren, Noah and Kamrin Karalis; and her siblings, Teresa Bennett and Harold Wheelihan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (1505 Ballentine St, Port Huron, MI 48060).

Maxine's family prefers memorial contributions to McLaren Hospice Port Huron or St. Mary Catholic Church.
