He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Dickinson and Betty Dickinson. He is survived by : his wife Laura Lee Byers; his children, Annette Switzer (John), Amie Sumpter (Graham), Joanie Recker (Michael) and Jessica Nixon; his grandchildren, Dustin Crawford (Karlee), Russell Crawford (Josilyn Gomez), Julia Davidson (Zach), Jackie Wahl, Rory, Colin, Sean Switzer, Grayson Sumpter and Ainsley Recker; his great grandchildren, Noah and Huxley; and his sister Debra Reynolds (Dale). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and multiple extended family members and step-children.
