She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Frank and Mira Myers (Sims); her husband Richard Michael Schmitz; her siblings, Norma Claeys (Perry), Eloise Brown, Jack Myers, Richard Myers, Jerry Myers (Nancy), Ray Myers (Phyllis), Karen Myers and Grace Thelen; her sisters-in-law, Linda and Arlene Myers; and her close friend Janet Armbrustmacher (Ray).

She is survived by: her children, Dean Schmitz (Cindy) of Fowler, MI, Chris Schmitz (Julie Hutchinson) of Fowler, MI, Jimmy Schmitz (Bev) of Pewamo, MI and Kathy Jo Boak (Jeremy) of Fowler, MI; her siblings, Susie Goerge (Tom), Mark Myers (Eva Gross), Al Myers and Ernie Myers (Rosie); her grandchildren, Dylan Schmitz, Cassie Schmitz, Kaitlyn Schmitz, Holly Ulmer (Steven), Brady Schmitz, Kelsey Hengesbach (Bryce), Trevor Schmitz, Zachary Schmitz, Cameron Schmitz (Madison), Savannah Hengesbach (Grant) and Charlie Boak (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Francis Hengesbach, Juliana Hengesbach, Eden Hengesbach, Simeon Hengesbach, Daisy Ulmer, Lucia Hengesbach, Veronica Hengesbach and Peter Boak; her siblings-in-law, Maxine Myers and Leon Thelen; and her close friend Marie Hufnagel (Clem). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
