He was predeceased by: his mother Ida M. Stambaugh; his stepfather Ivan Stambaugh; and his granddaughter Kesa Shaposka-Fountain. He is survived by: his wife Beverlee Ann Smyth; his children, Tom Smyth (Krista Bauby), Christopher Smyth and Jennifer Smyth; his stepchildren, Tracie Fountain (Arletus), Tonya Woodward (Craig), Paul Shaposka Jr., Kimberly Shaposka and Robert Copeland; and his brothers, Dan Smyth (Jan), Jesse Smyth (Mary) and Jerry Smyth. He is also survived by grandchildren, with two great-grandchildren.
