He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur P. Gilles and Alice Gilles (Neal); his sisters, Sally Mazzola and Colleen Riley; and his pet AJ.

He is survived by : his wife Evelyn; his children, Lisa (Steven Pasheek), Jeremy Gilles, Brandon Gilles, Roland (Emily Cedo) and Christopher (Emily Gilles); his grandchildren, Taylor Pasheek, Dominic Cedo, Eliza Cedo, Clementine Gilles, Ilah Sue Gilles and Bonnie Gilles; and his siblings, Nora (John Kretschmer), Connie Lee, Mike (Sharon Gilles), Patrick and Laurie Gilles. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
