We are sad to announce that, on May 21, 2023, at the age of 93, Ellen Meta Bender of Frankenmuth, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Weiss and Linda Weiss (Ortner); her husband Henry Bender Jr.; her daughter Sandra Opperman; her great grandchild Eve Opperman; her siblings, Selma Hecht (Herb), Marie Block (Reinhold), Art Weiss (Loraine), Norman Weiss (Edna), Andrew Weiss, Marvin Weiss, Norman Huber, Victor Weiss and Marian Keinath (Arno); and her siblings-in-law, Eugene, Edmar, Ruben, Marcus, Lester Bender and Kathleen Weber.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Holtz (Hogey) of Saginaw, MI, Frank Bender (Cathy) of Frankenmuth, MI, Debra Kinsey (William) of Cypress, TX, William Bender (Karen) of Birch Run, MI, Julie Hausbeck (Dave) of Frankenmuth, MI and Michael Bender (Diane) of Frankenmuth, MI; her son-in-law Ed Opperman of Vassar, MI; her sister Hildegard Huber; and her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Weiss, Betty Weiss, Marion Weiss and Betty Bender. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
