He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Shetlar and Dorothy Shetlar; and his brother Martin Shetlar (Margie). He is survived by: his wife Janet Cook; his children, Amy Jimenez (Jimmy) of Gilbert, AZ, Marisa Burghdoff (Mike) of Everett, WA, Mike Shetlar (Jennifer) of Phoenix, AZ, Sarah Schumm of San Francisco, CA, Tom Schumm of Portland, OR, David Schumm (Katie) of County Clare and James Shetlar II of Frankenmuth; and his sister Anne Rush (Phil).
