He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Schiefer and Hilda Schiefer; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Goodwin, Carl Buetow, George Bauer, Sylvia Buetow, Delores Bauer and Virginia Counselman.
He is survived by: his wife Marlys Raedeke; his children, Neil Schiefer of Pontiac, MI, Nathan Schiefer (Staci) of Columbus, IN and Natalie Chmiko (Brandon) of Marquette, MI; his grandchildren, Abbi, Drew, Sydni, Annika and Zoë Schiefer; his siblings, Lucille Roenicke (George), Irene Roberts (Merton), Mariann Goodwin, Margie Rodammer (Mike), Leonard Schiefer (Renee) and Richard Schiefer; and his siblings-in-law, Judith Block (James) and Henry Raedeke (Susan).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Lorenz Lutheran Church (1030 W Tuscola St, Frankenmuth, MI 48734).
