He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernst Haubenstricker and Hilda Haubenstricker (Keinath); his siblings, Wilmar Haubenstricker (Marie), Carl Haubenstricker (Lorine), Wallace Haubenstricker (Esther) and Lorine Schwab (Vern); and his goddaughter Dorothy Buchinger.

He is survived by: his wife Dora Humpert; his children, Dean Haubenstricker (Donna) of Frankenmuth, Ann Hayes (Gary) of Mt. Pleasant, Kevin Haubenstricker (Carrie) of Frankenmuth and Brian Haubenstricker (Julie) of Vassar; his grandchildren, Joshua, Samuel, Simon, Jessica (Jeff), Braden, Nate (Aubin), Dana, Allison, Garrett, Mitchell, Wesley and Korrin; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Harper, Carson, Addisen and Rhema; his siblings, Marian List (Curt) and Ralph Haubenstricker (Irene); his sister-in-law Judy Knowlton (Steve); and his godsons, Ron Haubenstricker, Tim Haubenstricker and Jim List. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
