He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bell and Arlene Bell (Gueldenzopf); and his siblings, Roger, Ila Mae and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Elaine Gidley; his children, Lynn Maurer (Ken), Alan Bell (Lisa), Wayne Bell (Jennifer), Patricia Zehnder (Thomas) and Julie Reinbold (Kirk); and his grandchildren, Paige Smith (Ben), Alex Maurer, Faith Webb (Doyle), Alyssa Stooksberry (Corey), Krista Carpenter (Mike), Matthew Maki (Courtney), Meagan Bell, Shawn Zehnder (Ashley), Lance, Stephanie Zehnder, Brooke Ketelhut (Max), Travis and Garrett Reinbold.
To that end he served on numerous boards including Frankenmuth Parks and Recreation, Frankenmuth Township, Wickson-Link Library Foundation, Frankenmuth Credit Union, the Frankenmuth Softball Association, and with the synod through his church.
