He was predeceased by : his parents, Dorothy Steinbauer (Leinberger) and Oscar Steinbauer; his parents-in-law, Shirley and Arthur Balko; his sister Donna; his brothers-in-law, Larry Scheuerlein and Wayne Balko; and his siblings, Carol Reinhart, Betty Reider and Robert Steinbauer.

He is survived by : his wife Carole Balko; his children, Kevin Steinbauer (Amy) of Bay City, MI and Holly Foster (Paul) of Marshall, MI.; his grandchildren, JT Steinbauer, Taylor Carstons (Tom), Cam Foster, Wade Foster and Katie Foster; his great grandchild Jameson Thomas Steinbauer; and his sister-in-law Nancy Balko.
