He was predeceased by: his daughter Lynda Sue; his parents, Lyle Robinson and Neva Robinson (Rust); his wife Betty Lou Holtrey; his siblings, Mick and Alice Jane Bigger (Dana); and his close friend Colleen Pettengill.

He is survived by: his granddaughters, Ashley and Alexis; his son David Robinson (Michele) of Beulah; his grandchildren, Jennifer Pick (Christian) of Coconut Creek, FL, David Knibloe (Kimberly) of Grand Rapids, Wil Knibloe of Grand Rapids and Jonathan Knibloe (Gi); his great grandchildren, Redd, Dylan, Charlotte, Gabrielle, Rowan and Angel; his brother Jim Robinson (Carol) of Perrysburg, OH; and his nieces and nephews, Terry Bigger (Mary Taphouse) of Owosso, Jack Bigger (Diana Sheldon) of Davison, Jennifer Robinson of Perrysburg, OH., Carrie Sanderson (Derrick) of Perrysburg, OH, James Robinson, Jr. (Katie Clifford) of Murrieta, CA, James Holtrey (Cheryl), Kirk Holtrey (Heddi), Tally Kaczynski (Dan), Heather Wood, Jim and Shawn Pettengill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
