“Colette Patterson and I met when I visited Florida some years ago. We shared a love of animals and more. She had a loving heart and a zest for life. Colette grew up in France. There were stories of happy times but also turbulent memories. She recounted when the Nazis invaded Paris and her family fled to the countryside. She had few friends at that time. Her passion was helping cats. Colette loved her family. She met Bill after WWII. So proud of their children and grandchildren. I will miss her.”

“Colette was a wonderful neighbor and friend. My son and I lived next door to her and her husband, Bill, for the last several years and it was always a joy to share a conversation with her. She loved sending us cards, whether it be for a holiday or just because. She was truly a lovely person and my 13-year-old son and I will truly miss her. Now we will look out for Bill, the love of her life, in her honor.”
