She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Burkholder and Gail Burkholder (Arduin); her husband Lawrence William "Larry" Closurdo; her brothers, Steven Burkholder (Jennifer) and Daniel Burkholder (Mimi); her niece Celeste; and her nephews, Nathaniel, Lucas and Jason.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home (32814 Utica Rd, Fraser, MI 48026). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Thomas Lutheran Church (23801 Kelly Rd, Eastpointe, MI 48021). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48038). If planning to attend, please RSVP (click link here) to help the family prepare for the luncheon seating and food; The burial will occur shortly after 2:00 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Township, where Debbie will be laid to rest just beside her beloved late husband, Larry.
