She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Howard Harkness and Geraldine Harkness (Gilding); her husband John Earl Scenga; her children, Jay Scenga, Laura Woods (Luke), Jessa Panichella (Evan) and Mary Rachel Edmonds; her grandchildren, Noah, Jonah, Leah, Eliza and Theo; and her siblings, Howard Harkness (late Jayne), Jeannine Nelson (late Roger) and Leigh Ruffner (Jim). She was also cherished by mother to her own children, but became a mother.
A memorial gathering was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home (32814 Utica Rd, Fraser, MI 48026). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
