He is survived by: his wife Linda Hitzelberger; his children, Bill Hitzelberger Jr. (Jennifer), Bob Hitzelberger (Ann), Mike Hitzelberger (Noelle) and Keri Sundell (Jordan); his grandchildren, Ben, Hunter, Charlie, Sydney, Lucie, Jack, Olivia, Stella, Tucker and Mckinley; and his sisters, Jeanette (Wally), Virginia (Milt), Carol (Frank) and Joann Russo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to VFW Post 6691 or the American Cancer Society in Bill's honor.
