He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne L. Biers and Gloria Biers (Fowler); and his siblings, Sharon Stark (Biers) and Jonathan Biers. He is survived by: his son Sam Biers of Montana; and his siblings, Frank Biers (Millicent), Robert Biers (Tina) and Carol (Biers) Chambers (Doug). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
