She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harmsen and Dena Harmsen (Nyman); her parents-in-law, Clarence and Dora Buitendorp (Jolink); her brother Robert; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Harmsen (Hansen) and Carl Buitendorp.

She is survived by: her husband Alvin Buitendorp of Fremont, Michigan; her daughters, Julie Burgess (Brian) of Houston, Peggy Camiller (Stephen) of Hudsonville and Kathy Buitendorp of Grand Rapids, Michigan; her grandchildren, Melissa Tracey (Sean), Braden, Brooklyn, Blake of Dallas and Matthew Burgess (Rebecca); her great grandchildren, Nora, Hannah of Lekki, Joshua Camiller (Candace), Connor, Jack, Sophia of Niceville, Bradley Camiller (Colleen) of Coopersville and Justin Camiller of Hudsonville, Michigan; and her brother-in-law Jerry Buitendorp (Bonnie) of Mesa, Arizona. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to The Cottages at Martin Lake or Corewell Health Hospice.
