With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dick Diekema of Fremont, Michigan, who passed away on September 28, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Diekema and Henrietta Diekema (Ensing); his siblings, Richard Diekema and Edna Kersting; his parents-in-law, Ruffo and Evelyn Stebelton; his brothers-in-law, Ron Stebelton and Douglas Stebelton; and his friend Milton Bolles.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Evans; his wife Sandra Diekema (Stebelton); his children, Jerry Evans, Scott, Karen Diekema, Diane and Tom Smith; his grandchildren, Tiffany and Chad Burt; his children, Kristoffer Diekema, Justin Hagar, Richard Jay Jr., Erin Diekema, Elizabeth Evans, Emily, Andrew Abdel-Malik, Derk Smith (Jacob), Savannah Evans and Austin Smith; his stepgranddaughter Marissa White (Shane Hendrickson); his great grandchildren, Chad Burt, Silas Burt, Nathalie Abdel-Malik and Robin Diekema; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jaedyn White and Camryn White.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Hospice of Newaygo County, with checks payable to Harmony Hospice of Newaygo County, and to Newaygo County Compassion Home.
