Florence Newsted Obituary

We announce the death of Florence Newsted of Fremont, Michigan, who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 93. Florence will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Hoffmeyer and Eva Hoffmeyer (Hilliker). She is survived by: her children, James Newsted (Billie) and Debra Harvey (Jerry); and her grandchildren, Jamey Newsted (Cheryl), Jen Beggs (Tim), Holly Leinenger (Brent), Sean Harvey (Sarah), Joshua Harvey and Daniel Harvey (Cassie). She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (51 W Oak St, Fremont, MI 49412). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Benevolent Fund of First Baptist Church-Fremont.
