He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Gibbie and Amanda Gibbie; and his brothers, Bern, Don, Jim and Bob.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff Gibbie (Kathi) of Fremont, Calvin Gibbie (Angie) of Fremont, Chris Gibbie of Georgia and Rachel Roth (Scott) of Florida; his grandchildren, Chad Gibbie (Ellen), Dean Gibbie (Jessica), Tara Bennett (Ethan), Brook Krause (Mark), Dan Gibbie, Joe Gibbie (Caitlin), Jared Roth, Amanda Briggs (Charlie), Anna Moseley (Elisha) and Jayden Roth; his stepgrandchildren, Brent Sherman (Nicole), Ashley Alderink (Josh), Trevor Sherman (Jessica) and Kayla Elmer (Tim); his sisters, Melodie Overbeek (Paul) of Zeeland and Lorelei Taylor (Tal) of Ridgeway, Canada.; and his sisters-in-law, Gladys Lauritzen of Fremont and Mary Gibbie of Holland.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, there will be no visitation, but up to 200 are welcome at the service, with social distancing in place.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials will be to the Newaygo County Compassion Home in memory of Jerry.
