He was predeceased by: his parents, Gail W. Clapp and Margery J. Clapp (Price); and his wife Judith D. Clapp (Fluegge). He is survived by: his brother Michael W. Clapp (Kathy) of Surprise; his son Bruce Dean Clapp (Elisabeth) of Willis; his grandchildren, Stuart Clapp (Madelaine), Trevor Clapp, Jacob Clapp (Stephanie), Olivia Buhrman (David), William Clapp and Catherine Clapp; his child Bonny Dawn Baar (Robert) of Jenison; and his grandchildren, AJ Baar (Jessica), Josette Dreyer (Dylan), Rebekah Ponstein (Palmer) and Zechariah Baar (Morgan). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, 4 wonderful sisters-in-law with their spouses, and various nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the First Congregational Church of Fremont (714 Hillcrest Ave, Fremont, MI 49412). A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
