It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Janine Carlson of Fremont, Michigan, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jack Hosler and Barbara Hosler (Paulson); her siblings-in-law, Rita and Fred Michelsen; and her nephew Carl Michelsen.

She is survived by : her husband Richard A. Carlson; her daughters, Nicole Miel (Wyatt) of Whitehall and Victoria Norman of Spring Lake; her grandchildren, James Miel, Zach Norman, Nick Miel, Jayde Norman and Connor Miel; her great grandchild Silas Miel; her siblings, Jackie Gilmore of Spring Lake and Kristi Brown (Bill Holmes) of Muskegon; and her siblings-in-law, Bob Carlson of Muskegon and Jane Dinquel (Bud) of Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (680 E Main St, Fremont, MI 49412). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers for the remembrance of Joyce Carlson's life, any memorial tributes are appreciated in the form of charitable donations to one of the following organizations: Newaygo County Compassion Home, Muscular Dystrophy Association, or Tessaro Lutheran Bible Translators.
