Leslie James Kolk Obituary
The memory of Leslie James Kolk (Fremont, Michigan), who passed away on July 8, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Kolk and Nelly Kolk (Eenigenburg). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Bielema; his children, Bryan Kolk (Maggie), Lynn Veltkamp (Marc) and Janelle Stevenson (Alastair); and his grandchildren, Jessi Stroven (Bob), James Greene (Erica), Audra, Brett Kolk, Kaitlin Cook (Alex), Michael Veltkamp, Lauren, Andrew and Ryan Stevenson. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Christian Reformed Church (721 Hillcrest Ave, Fremont, MI 49412). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers any memorials for Leslie be sent to support his grandson, Michael, a missionary at Flying H Youth Ranch, 370 Flying H Loop, Naches, WA 98937 (flyingh.org), or to the Fremont Area Community Foundation for the Fremont Christian School Endowment Fund.
