She was predeceased by : her parents, John VanHemert and Geraldine VanHemert (Pekel); and her pet Bailey. She is survived by : her daughters, Amy Springstead (Scott) of Spring Lake, Heather O'Connell (Dana) of Whitehall and Rachel Jaunese, Jr. (Dave) of White Cloud; and her sisters, Marcia "Marty" Luchies (Rick) of Fremont, Sue Splitstone (Ted) of Fremont and Mary Jo Moon (Chuck) of Fremont. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren & 2 great-granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Newaygo County Compassion Home.
